FUDE is a performance only dance group. FUDE consists of 8 styles, and you may choose as many or as few as you'd like to audition for! It holds an annual showcase each spring. Fusion is the competitive portion of FUDE. ALL FUSION MEMBERS MUST ALSO BE MEMBERS OF FUDE! Fusion is a smaller, select group of dancers who learn separate pieces to compete in competitions, such as NDA and UDA, as well as perform in the annual FUDE showcase.

All Fusion members must be in jazz, hip hop, and lyrical OR contemporary.

FUDE holds auditions the first weekend back to school and Fusion auditions will be held the following weekend. Keep an eye out on our instagrams @fudanceensemble and @fairfielddancefusion for more information!

Yes! We encourage all dancers to audition for Fusion.

We compete with our hip hop and lyrical routines. Our jazz routine is typically performance only.

In edition to FUDE classes, Fusion practices every Sunday from 1-4pm (but we typically don't need the full 3 hours!)

Some expenses to expect are... •Annual dues (these dues are required by COSO and typically average around $100, give or take) •New member team wear (team tank tops and competition jackets) As well as any additional optional expenses such as our team merch from our Squadlocker store or from Lululemon! (we are proudly a Lululemon Team Partner)
